From a young age, my aspirations were unclear, but an entrepreneurial spirit always simmered beneath the surface. My path led me to soccer, then to a retail management role, but it was a simple need that ignited the spark for what would become Happy Trees Table Co. As my wife and I sought a new dining room table to accommodate our community group gatherings, I embarked on building a table that held profound meaning. Little did I know that this endeavor would become a form of therapy, helping me navigate the loss of my father and unearthing a newfound passion for furniture building. My introduction to furniture craftsmanship was marked by a transformational experience. As I navigated the challenges of grief, the act of creating became a source of healing and growth. It was during this process that I fell in love with the art of furniture building, and a seed was planted that would eventually blossom into Happy Trees Table Co. 

The notion of heirloom furniture resonated deeply with me, inspired by the simple yet enduring oval table in my grandparent's home. This piece, witnessing generations come and go, embodied the essence of sturdy, timeless craftsmanship—a legacy that I envisioned bringing to life through Happy Trees Table Co. In 2022, my wife and I took a leap of faith, transitioning Happy Trees Table Co. from a side endeavor to a full-time commitment. Our reliance on community support, word-of-mouth referrals, and social media engagement has been pivotal to our growth. As the business flourishes, our portfolio expands, opening doors to create not just carpentry-focused pieces, but true heirloom furniture designed to foster memories, build family bonds and enhance our communities.
